I was born and raised in São Paulo, Brazil. I've always been passionate about technology and taught myself to code at age 13. My first projects were simple online games, but more recently, I've worked on a motion-controlled computer mouse, a currency exchange simulator, and an app that automatically signs you up to be an organ donor just by taking a picture of your ID.
I really wanted to go abroad for college and came to Stanford because of its entrepreneurial spirit and connection to Silicon Valley. My first quarter there, I wanted to learn more about startups, so I joined its venture capital club. Since then, I've had the opportunity to work on market research and due diligence projects with VC firms such as Accel Partners, General Catalyst Partners and Redpoint Ventures, as well as multiple emerging startups. I was later named president of the club, and now also advise a student startup incubator called Cardinal Ventures.
In addition, I've completed two internships in software engineering. I spent my freshman summer at Facebook and this past summer at Google, focusing on advertising technology and cloud computing respectively.
I'm also very passionate about education; I am currently working on a computer science education project, serve on Stanford's faculty advisory board on learning technologies, and recently, I mentored students in Google's Computer Science Summer Institute.
In the future, I plan on transitioning to a product management role and eventually starting my own technology venture.
I AM HAPPIEST WHEN...
I'm hanging out with friends - be it in a club, music festival, or just back in the dorms...and I still haven't met anyone who loves cheesecake as much as I do!
