Head of Leaders Candidate Program
Career Goldman Sachs, PricewaterhouseCoopers
Education University of California Berkeley
Location Hong Kong, San Francisco, Vancouver
I have always loved spending time with people and solving problems. Throughout middle and high school, I travelled extensively, spending months in Salebwek, Kenya for public service, in Paris, France for language enhancement, and in Havana, Cuba for cultural exchange, where I worked with different people to tackle challenging issues ranging from sanitation to international relations.
Hoping to learn in a diverse environment, I chose to attend UC Berkeley, where I studied business, economics, rhetoric and public policy. Working throughout my time in college to pay for my own tuition, I felt extremely fortunate to have had the opportunities and support I did, so with a team of good friends, I co-founded a non-profit initiative, Cashify, to implement innovative solutions for improving financial literacy.
Given my diverse interests, I worked in different areas including consulting and law to experiment, and found it challenging to narrow down my professional focus. I was fortunate to be able to attend the first Leaders workshop at Cal and became instantly enamored with the passion behind Leaders. Not only did I become great friends with the members of Leaders, everyone was extremely helpful in guiding me throughout the recruitment process, which led me to choose to work in investment banking at Goldman Sachs, where I can specialize in finance while also working with companies in all different sectors.
With these experiences, I want to pay the favor forward to others who may feel lost at professional crossroads, and have since been helping Leaders lead the Candidates Program. I am excited to connect friends around the globe and hopefully be helpful to others through sharing my story.
I AM HAPPIEST WHEN…
I am traveling, and making new friends as well as meeting old friends in new places around the world.
